A modest lodge & campsite on a traditional reserve a stone’s throw from Opuwo, elegantly hidden under Mopane shade along the edge of an ancient river.
About Kaoko Mopane Lodge:
Kaoko Mopane Lodge is created in an earthly space, drawn on natural hues of ochre, sand and stone. Using scrap metal from the area & recycled pine from old buildings, the lodge is a blend of modern sustainability and age-old Namibian hospitality.

Delux Twin Room
The luxury twin rooms have 2x twin beds, currently available, are strung out along a dry river bank, offering magnificent views and privacy. It also features an en-suite bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, internet access, patio, and ceiling fan.
Delux Double Room
Each double room consists of a double bed and a private en-suite bathroom. The chalets are equipped with coolers, bar fridges and a bathroom consisting of a shower and a toilet.
Campsite
The five campsites each have their own braai, washbasin, shower & toilet. Own tent required. Typically Kaokoland, each site has plenty of space, offering privacy and a relaxed atmosphere unique to Namibia campsites.
Group Campsite
This campsite is ideal for group bookings and has 8 showers and toilets. Own tents required. Equipped with boma, braai area, washing basin and hot water.
