Terrace Bay Resort

Description

Terrace Bay in Namibia is the ideal stop-over for those looking to explore the Skeleton Coast, National Park. Here, guests can stay comfortably among the dunes near the ocean. This is a popular spot for fishermen and tourists on their way to Etosha National Park who wants to see this stunning coast.

While the conditions are harsh in the desert, you can plan ahead to make your stay comfortable. A 4×4 vehicle is nice to have to reach the beaches, but otherwise, a two-wheel-drive car can get you here. You can enter through the Springbokwasser and Ugab entrance gates of the Skeleton Coast National Park in Namibia and follow the gravel roads to Terrace Bay Resort.

The accommodation options are either bed and breakfast or self-catering chalets, all with en-suite bathrooms, fridge, freezer, plus a tea and coffee station. Groups can opt for the six- or ten-person Beach Chalets with fully-equipped kitchens.

During the day you can explore this unique region, see the famous beaches and numerous shipwrecks that litter the coast, go on a 4×4 drive in the Uniab Delta or hike near the resort. The contrasting landscapes of the desert dunes rolling onto the beaches of the Skeleton Coast take your breath away. Terrace Bay is famous among anglers because the fishing is great. Explorers who want to see Damaraland and Kaokoland also frequent this resort.
